Animal Control
Animal Control Officers patrol the City, retrieving animals that have been killed and injured by vehicles, animals running at large, and other assigned duties. The Animal Control Officers also respond to and investigate complaints related to animal issues, including cruelty to animals, animal bites, and they also enforce city ordinances addressing the care and regulation of the pet population.
PET REGISTRATION
Chapter 8 - Section 8-9 of the City of Manvel Code of Ordinances states:
The owner of a dog or cat older than three months of age shall have the animal registered through the city police department, and renew said registration annually. The cost of registration for each animal shall be $2.00 for a neutered/spayed animal and $5.00 for any other animal.
The owner shall show the following in order to register an animal:
1. A current certificate of rabies vaccine;
2. The address, name or owner, and telephone number of the owner; and
3. A description of the animal.

You can initate the registration on your pet in one of the following ways:
1. Download an application, fill it out, and mail it or bring it to the Police Department.
2. Come by the Police Department and fill out the paperwork.
Fee must be paid by either check or money order made out to City of Manvel
